The Ekstroms

I think you should meet the “Oak Stream” part of Wild Oak Stream.  In case you’re wondering, Ekstrom means ‘Oak Stream’ in Swedish.  Brandon and I met, fell in love (pretty much love at first sight), and got married.

We both didn’t want to waste any time starting a family.  We figure the sooner we have children, the sooner they’ll grow up and move out, and then we’ll still be young enough to enjoy life later on after raising kiddos.  Great logic, huh?  Ha!  Meet Shiloh.  My little brunette baby that quickly turned blonde.

Shiloh is intelligent, loyal, inquisitive, artistic, observant, loves being outdoors, prefers to not wear clothes, and I am honored to be her mommy.

Then we found out we were pregnant with #2.

Miss Capri was born, and the love and joy in our family increased exponentially.  Capri has taught me more about myself than I could ever imagine a child doing.  She is adventurous, sweet, joyful, passionate, insatiable, and extremely hilarious.

I write a lot about the girls.  I am a stay at home mommy for all but about 10 hours each week, and even in those 10 hours, I take them to work with me.  So I end up writing about what I do the most, and they are that…. I know I am biased, but I never get tired of their precious little faces.  Brandon is an amazing husband and father, and we have been through so much of life’s ups and downs together, so I will brag on him every chance I can get.  This is us, I hope you enjoy getting to see my little family in the ins and outs of our life.
